I have an (overly) harsh disrespect for people who do not take ownership of their lives. And their careers.
You see, I grew up working class.
Raise by a single mother. Struggling. Lack of money was omnipresent. When I was 18, I said, "I can't take this shit any more."
My Grandfather Jack had always told me, (in a Scottish accent) "you're the best-ist boy in the world".
He loved me.
Told me I could be anything.
Jack was a Christian.
A WWII navy vet.
A working class man.
With rock solid core values.
A deep sense of right and wrong.
Honor and dishonor.
So at 18.
(Two years after Jack died.)
I decided I was no longer going to tolerate being a loser.
I was desperate.
No money.
Getting thrown out school for bad grades.
Found out later I have 5 learning differences... AD/HD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, etc… school was not created for the 20% of people who are like me.
(Turns out being different is a superpower 🚀)
So with no options.
I started a company at 18.
And retired (as an operating exec) at 38.
Let me be super direct with you.
(And please hear this with love)
Stop tolerating your own bullshit.
You are far greater.
Far more powerful than you know.
Tap into that.
Like I said at the top. I have an (overly) harsh disrespect for people who do not take ownership of their lives. And their careers.
Whining is bullshit.
•When you take 100% responsibility for your situation.
•When you take ALL responsibility.
•For EVERYTHING in your life.
•The good, the bad & the ugly.
Something legendary happens.
You hand yourself the controls.
Everyone is born with a superpower.
Your DNA is unique to you.
There has never been anyone like you before.
Your (scared) responsibility is to cultivate your superpower and make a (big) difference in the world.
Because.
The future needs you.
