Intellectual Capital is turning your knowledge into services and products that make a difference for others.
In the past, you needed a fancy title like “professor” to create Intellectual Capital (IC).
Today, IC is no longer trapped in ivory towers.
You just need to be a pirate.
Take Jimmy Donaldson. Does he have a PhD? Or a famous book? Or a fancy title? Well, we suppose “Mr. Beast” is a pretty cool title. But he owns a catalog of Intellectual Capital that generates millions of dollars of revenue while he sleeps. How? His YouTube videos entertain 365 million subscribers worldwide. That’s a massive, exponential outcome for his subscribers, his team, and himself.
You may not be Jimmy Donaldson, but the barrier to creating your own Intellectual Capital is way lower than you think.
Intellectual Capital is a scale.
Mr. Beast is among the most successful creators in Internet history, which makes him legendary.
You know who else is legendary? Austin-based hairstylist Ricky Hodge. His shift from Native Analog work behind the chair to Native Digital IC work is a masterclass in Creator Capital.
(Yet at a much smaller scale than Mr. Beast.)
With his tattooed arms, bolo ties, and eye for style, fun, and transformative haircuts, Hodge creates unique Intellectual Capital infotainment.
His Instagram @rickyhodge and TikTok @rickyhodged showcase his work and style.
By creating differentiated IC, Hodge expanded his reach far beyond the confines of his salon, turning his Analog skills into Digital gold. Hodge’s IC (not only) scaled his analog business but also created new income through digital content creation and online education.
In the process, he’s become more than a hairstylist — he's a Creator Capitalist.

FAFO Columbia
The American Ivy League let pro-hxmas supporters terrorize their campuses.
Now they are paying the price.
“The Trump administration is cutting off $400 million in federal funding to Columbia University, claiming it has failed to take steps to confront antisemitism on campus after Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attack on Israel, The Free Press has learned.”
What the Dot-Com Bust Can Tell Us About Today’s AI Boom
“This week marks the 25th anniversary of the Nasdaq peak, but all wasn’t lost in the ensuing downturn”
“The dot-com bubble had elements of what some investors call “good bubbles”
“Many overhyped AI startups may flame out. Yet some will have had brilliant ideas that get picked up by others.”
“As hundreds of billions of dollars pour into AI, some are calling it another bubble. True or not, Perez forecasts that AI will boost productivity as the first electrical lines did when they replaced steam power.”
I lived (and helped build category defining companies) through the PC boom, the dot com boom, the mobile boom, and the cloud boom.
IMO the AI boom will be (materially) bigger than them all.
Frankly I’m glad to be alive for this one.
And too have gained the learnings from these massive business & life altering new (at the time) mega categories.
What is clear to me now.
People who learn to create (massive) new value with AI, will be the greatest innovators, entrepreneurs and creator capitalists of all time.
People who don’t.
Are in trouble.
🏴☠️
We’re living in a post-AI world
The value of people who apply existing knowledge drops every day.
And the value people who create new Intellectual Capital increases every day.
In this video we dig into how you can create new IC & win.

Ideological Racism In America
I’m curious what you think of these memes?
And I’m curious if it is possible to have a civil dialogue about it with you in the digital world.
I’ll go first.
I believe these are fucking horrible.
Inciting violence against people you disagree with is disgusting.
And I don’t care which “side” does it.
I thought J6 and the BLM riots were disgusting.
For the same reason.
Why did we let (so much) violence against people we disagree with politically, become so accepted?
(I’d love your thoughts in the comments 👇🏻)
One of my best friends was brutally murdered in a 3am home invasion, robbery, carjacking, kidnapping.
When you experience that level of evil, you gain a (much) deeper awareness of violence, hate and killing.
I don’t want anyone to suffer what we have suffered.
(Even people whose views I find destructive and insane.)
I want civil dialogue.
Not civil war.
People who say, “the other side is destroying America”.
Are destroying America.
IMO Ideological racism has become the largest (most socially accepted) and fasted growing form of hate in the US.
If you have friends across the political spectrum you see it in your social feeds every day.
The far right calls Democrats, the“DemocRAT Party”.
The far left calls Republicans nazis and racists.
Slurs like this (and many others) dehumanize “the other side” in a way that paves the path to violence.
We’ve let disagreeing morph into hating.
Killing.
It has to fucking stop.
Now consider these memes.
IMO is ok to disagree, dislike or detest someone.
There are people on both sides I think are abhorrent.
But, I do not want them beat up or murdered.
I think memes like these are a gateway drug to violence.
Now, you should know.
I’m not a Democrat.
Or Republican.
I’m an American.
An independent.
I believe what Barack Obama said.
There are no red states or blue states.
We are the United States.
I lean left on social issues, equality (not equity) and workers/human rights.
And I lean right on taxes, crime and military.
I’ve voted for more Democratic presidents than Republican ones.
And I think Democrats (horribly) have lost their way.
(I voted for Trump in November.)
The failed state of California is living proof.
Gavin Newsom on his podcast with Charlie Kirk said, “The democratic brand has been decimated”.
(And as much as I disagree with almost everything Newsom stands for, I applaud him having a long form, no holds barred, civil dialogue with Kirk as his first podcast. We need a ton more of that.)
In sum.
I think promoting (and defending) violent hateful memes makes you a sick fuck.
But.
I really want to know what you think.

As a matter of fact.

Fascinating that (so far) no one wants to comment on the politically toxic memes…. Wonder why 🤔
